How Many Books Are In The Red Pyramid Series

I need some book suggestions….

Okay, so I have a little book problem – I like to buy the book so I can re-read them. So, obviously, the book has to be good enough to read time and time again. But lately, I’ve been unsure as to whether I should have bought them in the first place – I also have a tendency to like series. Here’s the…

Well, seeing as I hated the majority of books you appear to like, I won’t mention too many of my favorites.Poison Study:hush, hushThe Red Pyramid (Same author as Percy Jackson, probably one of my favorite books. Still just mindless fantasy, but good mindless fantasy.)Eyes Like StarsGolden CompassInterview With a VampireWicked Lovely

What are some books I can read this Summer.

I like books such as Juliet by Anne Fortier, which is kind of adventurous, a little mystery, and light romance. It is realistic fiction.I like Wuthering Heights. The gothic love. How they are passionate with each other, but are both married off to someone else and can are kept apart. Written as a classic.I…

Who is the best author for you. Rick Riordan, Stephanie Meyer or JK Rowling.

Rick Riordan- he is the author of Percy Jackson & the Olympians. He just newly released his new book The Kane Chronicles: The Red Pyramid. He is currently making or in published another new book The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero.Stephanie Meyer- she is the author of the Twilight Saga. She just newly released…

They’re all very different authors and their famous books are all aimed at different audiences so it’s a bit hard to compare.Obviously SMeyer loses. I found out the other day that she has a degree in english literature. I could not stop laughing. Her writing style is terrible, the plot redundant and disgusting. Twilight is, I can honestly say, the worst book I’ve ever read.So basically it’s between Riordan and Rowling. I personally prefer Rowling. I think she is an absolute genius. Her writing style appeals to young and old audiences. She has a plot intertwined through seven novels and over a decade. The foreshadowing, characters and plot all astound me. No matter how many times I’ve read Harry Potter every time I do I discover something new.Riordan is pretty good as well, but i find, as an adult, that it kind of feels like he’s talking down to kids. That’s the difference between him and Rowling. I got a bit bored at times when reading it, although I did enjoy it. I think I would of enjoyed it far more at 14, rather than 19.So basically I choose Rowling. Because her appeal is universal. And I think she is a [email protected] seriously have a problem with the way male writers portray females? wow really? I agree, to an extent, about a lot of children and young adult authors, but definitely not all of them. One of my favourite authors is John Marden, the main character of his most famous series (the tomorrow series) is female and I adore her. He writes a teenage female better than anyone I’ve ever read. Looking at many of my other favourite authors… many of them are male and write females fantastically. I’d recommend trying Markus Zusak and the Book Thief, John Green and Looking for Alaska, Khaled Hosseini and A Thousand Splendid Suns.

Does Rick Riordan have any plans on the Percy Jackson Series or even something like Demigod Files.

Like not particularly on Percy Jackson

A Percy Jackson graphic novel is set to come out on October 19, 2010. Riordan posted “Many of you have asked about a Percy Jackson graphic novel, and I’m pleased to announce it is in the works too. The tentative release date is 10/19/10. I’ve seen some preliminary artwork, and it looks awesome. I think you’ll be pleased with how Percy’s world comes to life in pictures.”http://rickriordan.blogspot.com/A sequel, also based on the Camp Half-Blood and Greek mythology universe, is planned for the Percy Jackson series, believed to be concerning the new Great Prophecy mentioned at the end of The Last Olympian. Rick Riordan has confirmed that he is writing the series, and as of November 2009, the first book is slated for release in Fall 2010http://rickriordan.blogspot.com/2009/11/camp-half-blood-austin-and-other-news.htmlRecently, Riordan has stated that he is working on a new series based upon the Egyptian pantheon, which then turned out to be The Kane Chronicles, with the first book, The Red Pyramid, to be released May 4, 2010.Anna Bell Half-Blood Series : The Adventure of Peter Johnson # 1 – Fall 2010http://www.publishersweekly.com/article/CA6705617.htmlThe Ultimate Guide was published January 19, 2010

Worst and Best Young Adult stories.

Okay, I’m a little bit lost on what to read, and I’ve been recommended so many sucky books this year. Now, please don’t kill me anyone, but these books include some like:Divergent. Oh, GOD. I don’t know what to say. Has anyone read Delirium or the Hunger Games before? Is this not all TOO familiar?…

I love any book by Rick Riordan. The Percy Jackson series, The Heros of Olympus, and Red PyramidThe book Go Ask Alice brings me to tearsSisterhood of the Traveling pants is good (Not unbelievable but good)My by far favorite book is Black Beauty (Non horsey people don’t really care) I find it beautifully writtenThe Gallagher Girls series is goodI can’t think of anything now.I thought the Hunger Games could have been written a lot betterI agree the Twilight series was horribleThe Narnia series is very good until the 3rd book. I couldn’t finish themSERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS! I CAN’T BELIEVE I FORGOT THOSE! They are by far my ALL TIME FAVORITE book series

I have a Question about Percy Jackson books.

I really like reading the Percy Jackson series. I know that first one is Percy Jackson and the lightening thief and second is sea of monsters and third is the titans curse and the fourth is the battle of the Labyrinth. what is the next one? and is Rick Riordan gonna write some more Percy Jackson series? and is the…

Last Olympian is the 5th and final book in the Percy Jackson series. Judging by what happens in the 5th book? They won’t make any more directly in that series. If there is any more to do with Percy, it will be side stories, history, etc.Just like Harry Potter won’t have any more books that follow the main story line.Rick Riordan is making a new series call the Kane Chronicles. If you liked the Percy Jackson series, it has been told that you will like his new series. The first book, “The Red Pyramid” is the first in the series. Rick has mentioned it is supposed to be a trilogy. The second book has been said to have a release date of Spring 2011. I do not know its title. As for the movies? They won’t make any more. If they do, I will be amazed. The first movie is almost NOTHING like the book series. Sure the idea is similar, but so many details were changed that making a sequel based on the book series would be difficult.****SPOILERS****The primary things in the first movie that clash with making a sequel are:Ares – A lot of the animosity in future books is due to a fight that Percy had with him in the end of the first book. The movie does not mention this at all. All of the things that Ares did in the first book, were said to be done by Luke in the movie.Clarisse – Ares’ daughter. She plays a pretty large role in the second book. A lot of her actions in the second movie, would also have to reflect the fight that Percy had with her father. Movie didn’t show it at all, so it would be confusing.Kronos – Harry Potter is to Voldemort, as Percy Jackson is to Kronos. Kronos is kind of the big baddy across all 5 books. While each book has its own challenges and stories, Kronos is the driving force behind it all. It isn’t a secret, but I won’t go into the details incase you read this on accident. The fact the movie didn’t even really talk about him? Kind of ruined its chances at sequels.Annabeth – The movie put its hollywood love story in long before it actually existed. They hint at liking each other once in awhile in the books, but it isn’t for atleast 3-4 books before anything actually happens. So I hope they make more movies because I enjoy seeing how badly hollywood changes the stories from book -> movie, but I can’t see this one happening. I do admit that the the movies are decent, just they are completely different.

Is the book The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan a long book.

There are only 2 books in the Kane Chronicles (so far)1. The Red Pyramid2. The Throne of FireThe Kane Chronicles Survival Guide will be out sometime this year.Rick Riordan also wrote the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series1. The Lightning Thief2. The Sea of Monsters3. The Titan’s Curse4. The Battle of the Labyrinth5. The Last OlympianThere’s also the Heroes of Olympus series1. The Lost Hero2. The son of Neptune3. The Demigod Diaries. And, I think both Percy Jackson and The Kane Chronicles have been turned into graphic novels.

Just wanting to know..

  3. Jk Rowling by far! Her books are instant classics. They’re pure brilliance and absolutely magical!~Tau

  4. Divergent (Divergent #a million)by Veronica Roth – a pair of dystopian society the place whilst the infants “come of age” they should decide on how they choose to spend something of their lives … society is broken up into 5 distinctive communities – each and each team focuses on 1 ingredient in existence that they experience is lacking – bravery, modesty, etc. there is at the instant a action picture being made precise now and it will come out next March. This one is stuffed with action. the determination (the determination #a million) by Kiera Cass – it fairly is a pair of broken society it extremely is governed by a king and queen. they’re attempting to discover their son (the prince) somebody that he could be interested in marrying. They bypass approximately looking a woman by keeping a gamble and 35 of their possibilities come to stay on the fort and meet the prince. for this reason, they’re permit bypass if the prince does not like them. it fairly is a lovable e book with an awesomely stable and charismatic youthful lady by way of fact the premier character. it fairly is an incredible study! Obsidian (Lux #a million) by Jennifer Armentrout – it fairly is approximately extraterrestrial beings. And generally, i does not study some thing so technology-fiction-ey. yet. the premier character is this great sassy lady which you won’t be in a position to help yet relate to and he or she has this hunky neighbor it extremely is perplexing and mouthy and it makes for a fairly good blend. desire that helps!

  5. Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward.I haven’t read any of Rick Riordan’s work yet so I’m going to have to say JK Rowling for the obvious reason that Stephenie Meyer cannot write to save her life (Stephen King agrees). JK Rowling’s books have dynamics, plots, and interesting characters, she worked hard for 17 years to create another world and over this period has found many loyal fans who she has encouraged to read. Stephenie Meyer wrote four books about how important it is to have a boyfriend.

  6. The series is 5 books – (Lighting Theif, Sea of Monsters, Titans’ Curse, Battle of the Labyrinth and the Last Olympian) Also the Percy Jackson series has a second series called Heroes of Olympus, The Lost Hero (That is like book 6 from Percy Jackson) and The Son of Neptune (Book7) are out now

  7. I’ve always dreamed about being like JK Rowling. She is one of those Role Models you WOULD want to look up to.

  8. I’m on throne of fire, but is there a third book of Kane chronicles

  9. In order,It’s called The Last Olympian.Try Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz ♥

  10. LAST OLYMPIAN. HE IS WRITING BOOKS ABOUT EGYPT MYTHOLOGY. ITS CALLED THE RED PYRAMID.

  11. Jane Austen Tamora Pierce Nalini Singh William Faulkner Marion Zimmer Bradley Linda Howard Robin McKinley J.D. Robb Jasper Fforde

  12. Well I have fallen out of the whole ‘Vampire’ type books, and more into the ‘Gossip Girl’ type, but when I was reading vampire books, I really enjoyed Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber, and The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot was good, it was about a girl who helps ghosts finish their business on earth.

  13. But I would not say it is realistic fiction…..

  14. Sweep/Wicca series by Kate Teirnan

  15. HP and the Goblet of Fire (where i am :D)

  16. I suggest Harry Potter (by J.K. Rowling)HP and the Sorcerer’s Stone

  17. Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.

  18. The Red Pyramid Book

  19. Rick Riordan is putting Percy Jackson aside for a bit to focus on a new series about Egyptian mythology instead of Greek. He mentions that he will continue the Percy Jackson series, but with different characters, later, but not at the moment.

  20. The Book Edition which i read was 514 pages which is also pretty long. It is same like Percy Jackson which is written by the same author (Rick Riordan). But is with Egyptian Gods . But i find myself liking percy Jackson a bit more than The Red Pyramid . Anyway both are amazing .

  21. Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

  22. I read all of these books. All of them are, well, pretty good.Rick Riordan focuses more on adventure, battles, and strength. The Lost Hero preview seems ok,but the thing that grabs Percy Jackson fans is who the lost hero is.Everyone wonders.Luke Castellan?Annabeth Chase?Or is it someone not in the Percy Jackson series?I won’t spoil it for everyone, but the code is newhero for http://www.camphalfblood.com to read the preview.

  23. Yes, he is writing more but on different characters.

  24. Harry Potter dragged sometimes. I enjoyed the books, but there were some things Rowling did that annoyed me. And I needn’t say anything about Stephenie Meyer’s Book That Shall Not Be Named. This Site Might Help You.

  25. can you tell me about Rick Riordan books?? there is other series before the kane chronicles, i don’t know if they are related to each other…..i don’t want to miss something…

  26. On Borders’ website it says 528 pages. So its a pretty long book.

  27. Riordan wasn’t bad. The Lightning Theif was a pretty good book, but it didn’t have that pazazz to make me read the rest of the series.

  28. HP and the Prisoner of AzkabanThere are 3. The third one just came out.

  29. I will try not to give away anything, but

  30. Book 3 – Serpent’s ShadowRowling has made her fame and fortune several times over – I don’t think she cares too much about Rick Riordan, and she certainly doesn’t need to panic. If she writes more books, it’s because she has stories she wants to tell. That’s why any writer writes. “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” is a graphic novel that’s about exactly what it sounds like — a boy who gets picked on a lot. They skew a bit younger than “Hunger Games” and are supposed to be very funny. As to your BQ – The kids are older because Percy is older, and he’s still a big part of the story. They are his contemporaries. You might saw they are “in his class” or “in his year” so that they can all go on adventures together.

  31. Romantic factor: people who never read the books, think there is no romance, which is NOT true. Harry gets a crush or two, and in one of the books (or so i have been told) there is a suprising couple, and for a period of the book, there is a feeling of jealousy around.HP and the Half-Blood PrinceThe 3rd book is coming out on the 1st of May 2012 (This May coming) Do you like Percy Jackson? That is Rick Riordan’s other book. It’s more popular than the Kane books and there was even a movie from the Percy Jackson series, you should read that too. It’s longer than Percy Jackson. But it’s 528 pages. I know someone who got in advance and they didn’t really like it though.

  32. JK Rowling. I have always respected her since I was a little kid. How she started from nothing and became one of the highest paid women in Britain! It’s amazing! Plus how she managed to create a world where you can close your eyes and see it and feel the same sensations as the character. She can make your emotions fall apart. I’m not a big crier, but when the characters died in Deathly Hallows, it put me to tears. Only great authors can connect to an audience through written words like that.HP and the Chamber of SecretsGuild Hunter series by Nalini Singh.

  33. I have devised a list of titles/links for people such as yourself. Pay special attention to *Green Dolphin Street* and *The Dud Avocado*. there are more lists on my blog as well — just peruse as you wish.i already bought the first series the “Red Pyramid”, so can you tell me the other books!!!!

  34. Tomorrow series by John Marsden

  35. Book 2- Throne of FireHow many series is the “Kane Chronicles”?

  36. Game of thrones? I really like it and I agreed with everything you said above. apart from TMI in my mind it ended at the original trilogy (#hipster) and I understand the harry potter thing they kinda needed to be read when you were younger or pre movie watching. Also have you read the infernal devises? They are written by Cassandra Clare and take place in the same universe as the mortal instruments except a long time in the past (I know I did a crap job selling them but they are good trust me). Also the iron fey series are pretty good 🙂

  37. The Throne of Fire (The Kane Chronicles, Book Two) by Rick Riordan is the second book in the Kane Chronicles by Riordan. The Kane Chronicles is supposed to be a trilogy with the third, and final, book being released in Spring of 2012. This was a great addition to the series.

  38. HP and the Order of the PhoenixThe next books is called The Last Olympian. I don’t think there are going to be anymore movies because in the first one, they didn’t have Clarisse, they didn’t even have Kronos, and he is kinda a really important character. The last Olympian is the last book in the series, but i think he is writing like small stories and stuff that are going in a supplement book. If you like his writing, read The Red Pyramid, by him. It kinda follows the same plot lines, except that the gods are Egyptian, not greek. Enjoy!

  39. Harry Potter is a totally made up world.Rick Riordan took the idea of Mythology and took Greek first, then Egyptian. That is not very creative.Harry Potter is a total fantasy world. The romance is better, maybe because there are more books, and so many characters possible.Romance starts in the 4th book, and so on.Harry Potter really grabbed me at first.I love it,and J K Rowling did a good job and it is surprising she thought of it on a train delay. Some think she is using witchcraft, but then Percy Jackson would not be good either because it does not fit into the theme of Christianty-God.There are many gods in Percy Jackson, therfore leading people to think Percy Jackson is not for Christians. But it clearly says in the book-gods and God is a different matter altogether(Percy Jackson and the Olympians:The Lightning Thief).Harry Potter is really good.Mystery factor: J. K. Rowling is the queen of for shadowing

  40. How To Pronounce Rick Riordan

  41. Adventurous factor: At the end of every book, there is an action scene

  42. Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton.

  43. Smeyer isn’t even an author in my mind.

  44. Stephanie Meyer relies on romance for fans to keep hanging onto Twlight saga.It is the usual type–a choice between romancers,or a choice for this something and romance. It is a good job,no offense Twlight fans, but it is a bit…well, too smushy. It seems as if there is no safe home in Twilight–just danger. In friends and lovers.I do not prefer Twilight that much.Percy Jackson and Harry Potter are my choices.

  45. I really like Rick Riordan. The Lightning Thief is one of the few books that I read from start to finish in one sitting. When I was in a reading slump, he restored my faith in the young adult genre.Riordan is the best author for me out of the three. Though part of me died inside when I found out his book was becoming a movie. I still haven’t seen it, and I don’t plan on it.

  46. I don’t know.

  47. HP and the Deathly HallowsHope that helped!I like JK Rowling best. Her series Harry Potter is original but at the same time, realistic. Stephenie Meyer is what, making vampires shine in the light. It’s too fictional. Rick Riordan best author but everything about Percy’s adventures can be found in Hercules’ story, Theseus’ and a lot others. Interesting but not really original.
